AVOID SIXT. Terrible expérience at the end of my summer holiday. Rented and prepaid for a manual vehicle and drove 30 minutes to the agency where I was informed on arrival that only automatics were available. I was advised to call customer service to change the pick up location to the airport where manual cars were sure to be available (which should be at no extra cost to myself) After several exasperating phonecalls with SIXT customer service and numerous emails since the booking I am €100 out of pocket. The customer service by phone and email is appalling: it was so bad at points that it was actually comical. The app allows you to book vehicles that are not available at the agencies so the agency staff are fighting a losing battle to try and please customers. SIXT have been my first choice of car rental for a long time but I will steer clear in future.

Very professional staff, many languages represented. On Site garage. If you fly into Lyon, Do yourself a favor and catch a ride to this location. It is a 20min ride, but worth dealing with professionals because in my experience the staff at airport locations are not up to snuff. (and this is true for all vendors). You can also rent moving vans, trucks with lift gates, ect. Highly recommended!
